BTS HISTORY
2010:
At this time BTS was a duo
with only Namjoon (Rap Monster) and Hunchul (Iron), then after a while
Big Hit had stated that BTS was going to be a group. This led to the Hit
It auditions.
Ikje (i11evn), Yoongi (Suga), and
Hoseok (J-Hope) had all auditioned and had become rookies under Big Hit.
Yoongi had initially failed the competition against Ikje, when they had
a Rap Battle
to see who was going to become a part of BTS, but in the end, they were
both casted. Donghyuk (Supreme Boi/Suprema) was then added, it was
hypothesized that Rap Monster had asked him to join since they were in
another band (more on this below) together and were friend since middle
school.

2011:
Ikje
quits BTS, supposedly because he found out it would become an idol
group (no real confirmation), and Hyosang (Kidoh) had joined after
passing the auditions. Now the band was Rap Monster, Iron (leader),
i11evn, Suga, Hoseok, and Kidoh.
At the end of the
year, however, Iron and Supreme Boi left. They left one day apart, it is
not sure why Iron left but Supreme Boi left to become a producer of Big
Hit. He felt that the idol life was not for him and is now helping BTS
produce songs (which is why his name is on most albums). Rap Monster
becomes leader.
Jungkook and Taehyung (V) enter the
scene. Jungkook is casted after auditioning at SuperStarK2 and V passes
his auditions and become a part of BTS (Note: V was not revealed until
debut and Jungkook was not revealed until final members were chosen).
2012:
Seokjin
(Jin) is recruited by Big Hit at his school, despite his initial desire
to act (Again Jin was not revealed until final members were chosen).
Jimin is also recruited into the team. Jimin and J-Hope goes on to take
dance lessons at academies to improve on their dance. Final Auditions
happened and Kidoh, unfortunately could not make it to the auditions
because he was taking his college entrance exams, taking him off the
team.
2013:
The seven members:
Rap Monster, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, Jin, and Jimin debut on June 13.
Making Rap Monster the longest Trainee at 4 years and Jimin the
shortest at a little under 1 year.
Note: Beenzino,
Suwoong were also going to be in BTS however they both refused. Suwoong
left Big Hit and is now in Boy’s Republic. Iron signed up with Polaris
Ent. and was supposed to be in the band Hive, however the arrest of
Polaris’ CEO stopped it from happening and he went solo. Kidoh went on
to join Topp Dogg in Stardom Ent. (however he leaves and becomes a
producer)

DaeNamJoseonHipHopHyupDongjohap (Great Southern Joseon Hip-Hop Cooperative) shorten as DaeNamHyup or DNH.
This
band was created when Rap Monster was in in Middle School (9th grade).
All members at this time (Marvel J, Supreme Boi, Rap Monster and Kyum2)
were of the same age (94 liners) hence why some of their songs have a 94
next to them, indicating that it was them. They had named themselves
after the Nations Agricultural Cooperation Federations when they had
happened to pass by the building. After a while they had decided to
recruit more people based on their “feels.” This was how DJ Snatch,
Marvel J, Samsoon, i11evn, Kidoh joined. The group decided, after all
the members were there, to not accept any more members so it officially
became DJ Snatch, Kyum2, Rap Monster, Marvel J, Samsoon, Supreme Boy,
Iron, i11evn, Kidoh. Rap Monster is the maknae of this group.
They STILL are a group, however members such as Iron and Rap Monster have become “inactive members” due to their busy schedule.
The
members DO NOT despise Idols, but most do not want to become Idols
themselves. This is because they believe Idols have a cuter image than a
rapper and they believe they do not fit the image. While Kidoh did
become an Idol, he said that he would cringe every time he had to do
something cute, and that he didn’t feel like he should be an idol.
Fun
Fact: i11ven got his name because he ate 11 California rolls at the
time he was thinking his name, he added “ill” in front because it meant
cool.

Lesser Known BTS songs that should be checked out:
A
Typical Trainee’s Christmas – This was made 4 years ago, please check
out the full version and the version that BTS edited (you’ll die
laughing at how Rap Mon edited it…yes he edited it not the staffs,
however this version is missing the first part of the song). This song
is literally an emotional rollercoaster that makes you question your
sanity because you’ll be crying and laughing at the same time. The
reason this song is so unique is that it shows how different Big Hit was
from other companies. I mean what other company lets you deliberately
insult the CEO and the company? (Sorry J-Hope isn’t in this one)
A
Typical Idol’s Christmas – Yes you read it right, it’s almost the same
title as the one above. This song is touching and reminds me of a
dedicated song to the fans. This song is about their life as they
debuted and finally reaching their dreams. (Sorry Jungkook and Rap
Monster isn’t in this one)
Perfect Christmas – You
must be wondering, what’s up with all the Christmas song? I don’t know
XD This one is by Rap Monster and Jungkook and other trainees including
GLAM members. It’s a very sweet love song and I promise you, you won’t
be disappointed because you’ll be blasted away by fetus Kookie and a
Sexy RapMonster.
Vote – This song is based off the
beat of Kanye West’s “Power” and is written and performed by Rap Monster
only, but it’s impactful and soothing. He raps about teens taking the
chance to vote and express our opinion.
The Song That
Will Make You Smile by Lee Seung Gri- This song is very passionate and
deep and is overall amazing. What’s even more amazing is Rap Mon and
J-Hope’s rap line in it at the end.
The Stars – Okay,
I know, I advertise this song a looooot. Like way too much but it’s one
of my favorite song ever and really hits me home. I have yet to meet an
ARMY (in real life) who has heard of the song and it’s probably because
it’s really hard to find. So here’s a link to the song http://www.nhaccuatui.com/bai-hat/the-stars-bts-bangtan-boys.gWDq8EUyWtA5.html
yes I know it’s a Vietnamese Website but you just have to click play!
The reason I advertise this song so much is the meaning behind it, it's
literally another Tomorrow with its deep meaning. It’s about Never
Giving Up on your dreams and how we can achieve anything if we stick
together.
518-062 – This song is by Suga, and is also
known as D-Town (I’m pretty sure you can guess what D stands for XD)
and really portrayed Suga’s potential as a pre-debut rapper. Not only
that but it was a song really deep into pride of where one comes from.
There
are more songs but most of the songs I have are WAAAYYY back from the
old BTS (before J-Hope and Suga came), I will be making a future post
that will list ALL songs of BTS members, old and current.
